I am looking for a souce where to buy the original style starter drive spring for the H,M,C starters. All help appreciated.

I doubt if you will find an original unless it would be N.O.S. The newer replacement is a much better design and is also much easier to install.

Rusty: I might add, engages much smoother, far less damage to the ring gear. They will also work on a ring gear damaged by the the old spring type beyond use.

15 years ago I had a new spring type on my 130, it would not engage well enough to start the tractor. I installed the new clutch type without changing ring gear and it's still going. This is the one tractor I run all winter, thus it probably sees more cranking time than my other tractors. They both have clutch type starter drives as well.
