I have a recently built H with 350 parts and it is running way too rich. My carb, part no 361525R91 does not have a main fuel adjusting screw, only a plug. The IT manual shows the plug with a metering seat but does give any description for that particular carb, only the one with an adjustment. I took the plug out and could not see anything that resembles a seat. Local parts store says not available. Any ideas or suggestions? Thanks,

R1 was a 300 carb. some came without the high speed adjustment screw, nut and packing and used a plug in the hole. I have added the adjustable parts to those carb but got them used. 361525 R2 was a original 350 carb. and a lot of 300. If the carb. is way rich I suspect more of a problem than adjustment.

The 350 carb should have the adjustable load metering screw just like an H or an M. It is possible that someone drilled out the load adjusting seat, and replaced it with a screw-in jet from a Holley carb. If so, you should be able to see it when you remove that plug. It might be possible to replace that jet with a smaller one, or even get a load adjustment screw like should be on it and use that screw with the jet to adjust your fuel flow. Another option would be to replace the main metering stem in the carb with a stem from a super H or an M. They are interchangeable.
