TA.s are like light bulbs, they either work or don.t.Youcan buy all the parts to repair them but if you don't have the special tools I don't think you could reassemble one work, Our local dealer charged 2720.00 to fix one in a 350 rowcrop. If you were lucky you could find a matching tractor that came without a torque and use the straight thru shaft and eliminate your torque.

HI I did not do it. I wanted it but it sold for 2700 too much for me with bad TA Thanks for the help everyone. I have a 300U in Pa. that was my grandfathers it needs complete restoration. It is loose and TA is good. It is the first tractor I ever did any work with. I wanted this other one to work and the Pa. one to show. I am in Florida hopefully over 4th of July will get to Pa and get it running and front tires on it. Then the work begins thanks

I recently bought a 460U for 2800. tach said 1800+ but cable was broken. fair metal missing 2 panel fenders bad runs great TA works good 95% tires all around but...Fits my application nicely. I've been looking for a utility for a while then this one showed up for sale 4 miles from my home. I never knew it was there. From my point of view, I would pay more for something that I was looking for. Although I have already noticed parts prices and availability are going to make my future restoration of this tractor more challenging.

$1000-1500 is all there worth. the ta and clutch requires splitting the tractor and most of the time slipping means it is bad. these are great little work horses for the money but parts are $$$$$$$

I think Don is right on track with 1000-1500 on price. It depends on you. If you like it, and it looks to suit you it will make a nice little tractor.
