I am in the process of redoing our shed. New silplate, botton foot of the studs, and new foundation. Cleaned it out and dad has this horse drawn wooden plow. He has no idea what it is. The plows themselves appear to be wood. It's in bad shape, but dad refuses to throw it away, either sell it or find someone who wants it. He thinks it can be used as a lawn ornamant?

WTH should I do with it?

If I had the cam, I'd take a few picks. Dunno if its worth any money or not, but being wood, and in the shape its in, its probly not with much. The only metal on it is some bracing for the plow and the front end

This is a long shot, but you may want to contact the curator at the Henry Ford Museum (Dearborn, MI). They may be able to give you some information on it, or they may be interested in it as a display.

I dont have intentions on throwing it away. I just dont see someone paying for it, and I dont see someone using it as a lawn ornament without work. Were most of these wooden plows painted? or were they stained/oiled?

I might put an ad in the local free giveway website and in the newsletter at work.

For all I really know it COULD be a replica for ornamentation. I dont know how these were identified, or if they even were. This weekend I'll get some pics of it.

Where do you live. Here in my corner of the world(extreme SW NC close to TN and GA those things fly off the aucion floors for good money ($150-200). Called antiques. Lots of nuts from big cities and Fla. around here will pay big bucks just to say the have something. (I got something you don't).
