I have a 1941 BN that has had the magneto converted to battery ignition (when the impulse coupling snaps & the points make, they fire the coil as in a distributor ignition).

Question 1: How bad a thing is this?

Question 2: How should I set the ignition timing?

Question 3: Is the stationary timing mark directly below the flywheel at the 6 o'clock position?
