Hello, I have a Farmall 450 on LP, tractor seems to be starving for fuel, no power somtimes it seems like it runs out of fuel and dies. Then I need to wait 10-15 min and after cranking over some it starts. sometimes it sputers white smoke out the muffler. Tractor doesent run smooth, seems like it surges while its under load. tried opening the liquid side and it still runs and pulls the same. Is there an LP filter or an adjustment it increase fuel? Or what do you all think. Air cleaner is clean, fresh oil, going to give it a tune up but it seems to be starving for fuel. Please help. Thanks, Albert

Albert, I will say on the outset it could be most anyting. Take a look at the fuel vapor line....After the Vaporizer. I have seen on the pickus that I use to drive, at the lowest point ....this for lack of a better term, greyish gooh, it is water soluable, that line could be stopped up and only letting just a little vaporives fuel throuth to the carb! Just remove the line, wash it in HOT water and Dawn soap. then reinstall. Hope this helps. Here is my cell# call if I can be of help... 512-577-3837. Later, John A.

Now i am no GURU on propane here , but first i would check the coil and see if it is getting HOT and i mean hot not just warm . And like i said i am no expert on propane set ups as i have only played with one but i thought that ya got them warmed up on the vapor then opend the liquide vale to feed it . now on the big MM that i worked on for a buddy that one did have a fuel filter on it .Around here we do not have any propane fueled tractors in the field and my Accountant just had the one as a play toy for awhile till he got the idea that we needed the heads to make a pullen tractor then it became pices and parts.

Is the coil supose to get hot? If there is a hole in the diaphram what are the signs of that? The tractor runs like crap either with the liquid valve on or off. It fires right up when cold, just has no power like it's starving for fuel. What is the adjustment screw on top of the regulator? Thanks Albert
