Hello, when I sit on the seat of my 53 Super H the big spring under the seat totaly compresses. I know that I could lose some weight (I am 200lbs)but I would think it should hold me up better that that. Will a new spring be stronger or is this just the way it is? Anyone have any insight?? Thank you.

Near the end of the top large coil there should be either three to five hash marks or the number one thru five. For two hundred pounds you should have a number five.

I outweigh you by a bit, and a new spring made all the difference in the world. A new spring should cost somewhere around $20, maybe a bit higher.

New springs are available At IH,TSC and maybe here or on ebay They will be strong enough to hold you. Use to be there were 3 different ones according to individuals weight, now they are all heavy duty. Your spring is toast. Call Brad Marshall and he will send one to you. 1-888-824-0544

Well I learned something, I never knew there were different strengths of the springs. I have two new old stock ones, with tags still attatched. I'll look to see how they are marked.
