To start a flooded engine open the throttle wide open and crank. the massive inrush of air will help clean out the fuel laden cylinders and it should pop off without a whole lot of issue, if that is indeed your problem... just be ready to throttle her back down as she is going to go WOT since it is in that position... Is gas dripping out of the carb? You might take out a plug or two and see if they are soaked with gas. If it is not flooded I would try a new condensor.

Could the distributor have been knocked out of time? maybe check the timing, it might be possible the jerk did something to the timing.

Try pulling it and see if it will start. Or if it is flooded drain the carb and just wait a while and try again. Do you have spark at the plugs or have you checked one? Just because there is spark at the points don't always mean there is at the plugs.
