Does anyone have a picture of an all-fuel manifold with the temp control lever on it? I haven't seen one, and am curious what it looks like. I've been unable to find it on google.

1 and 2 point to the bolts that are used to hold the "chimney" on the manifold for the exhaust. There is not a threaded hole on the all-fuel type manifold.

3 points to the temperature adjustment. You can set it for cold, medium, or hot. You could adjust it for the best power/most complete burn of whatever fuel you were using - might need more heat in the winter as apposed to summer time.

Great pics Steve! Thanks!

Was there a lever rod that connected to the operator in some way, or were adjustments made off tractor?

No adjustment from the seat. As far as I know, the F-series was the last that were adjustable from the seat.

These had a set-bolt that you tightened so the flap wouldn't move. It was a Ron Popeil type of deal - "set it and forget it." ;o)

I did have a picture of one, but I have deleted it from my files. Basically it is an "L" shaped steel rod, with one end inserted into a hole in the manifold. The "L" will have a set screw in the end that is visible. There will also be indicators on the manifold which will show you where to set the lever. If the lever is missing, there will be a hole in the manifold where the lever should be. If there is no hole, then it is not a distillate manifold.

ok, I'll give the manifold a closer look next time I'm there.

Too bad you don't have the pictures anymore. Oh well.
