Please tell me how, in this day and age, you managed to stay out of the Wal-Mart for three years? Someone go for you? I'd pay someone to go for me.

When 9-11 occured I was with a girl from Kansas that was down here "visiting" and I had been complaining about Wal Mart and what they were doing to my business and that Wal Mart had destroyed small towns. During her visit I had to go there for someting and she said "yea you complain and complain but you still go there".

That kind of opened my eyes. Besides if you notice Wal Mart may carry name brands but they are cheeper quality, made just for Wal Mart.

We had the tornados yesterday evening. That system pushed up here from KS. We have flooding everywhere, over 6 inches of rain. Fortunately the twisters stayed away from the towns. Some farms destroyed, no fatalities. Just a reminder for everyone to have a battery powere weather radio. My power went out and I could listen to the tornado spotter over the weather service broadcast on my hunting walkie talkies. The creek that runs through my property is normally 10 feet wide. This morning it is about 180 feet across! Wonder how many pheasant nests got flooded out?

We had some bad weather two days ago but we missed the bad stuff, only 60 miles per hour winds. Some folks in Dallas are still without power, I am 50 miles East of Dallas.

During the storm I undid my power and phone line from the pc and after it was past me I hooked it back up. About 10 minutes later I took a hit on the phone line and fried the dialup modem. I had a surge protector in the power line but not the phone line. Went to Wal Mart for the first time in three years and got a modem and the drivers that came with it caused a big problem. Had to uninstall it and get one from Radio Shack. It cost less from Radio Shack and I even get a better hook up speed than ever before.

So make sure you get a surge protector for your phone line and DONT buy from Wal Mart if you need a modem.
