I have a cam out of a 135 motor and I noticed that the lobes were just a little taller than the one in the 123 motor. My question is,will this change any thing?? It seems to me that when I adjust the valves that thing will be the same as in the 123 no matter if the lobes are higher. The only change that I for see is that the extra height may take longer for the valves to open but only maybe a degree or two.

What do you get for lift on both cams ? If it is 0.010"-0.020" difference, it should not be a problem. These motors are low compression with a lot of room in the combustion chamber. If you test assemble the motor without a head gasket and turn it over by hand, you can tell if the valves are going to interfere with the pistons. You can check out coil binding at the same time.

Watch out for valve spring bind and valve to piston clearance. Since you don't set valves on the lobe, but on the cam base radius (valves closed) you could have incompatibility. Like georgeky said, it is just like putting a race cam in a car, meaning you often have to change springs, machine "eye-brows" into pistons, etc. mike

Go ahead and use it just set the tappets the same. Sure it will open and hold the valves more but isnt that what you wanted anyway?

If this is the case it would be the same as putting a bigger cam in a car. It will keep the valves open longer allowing more gas to get through. This is theory mind you. There could be difference in heads and one may have longer valves than the other I am not sure.
