i am new to this forum so i hope some one can help me find out why my farmall 560 can not get more then 1500 psi out of my new pump. installed new filter and oil. check for air leak at the tube. i was told to shim the spring up in the regulator valve. i was not sure whitch spring to shim so i shimmed them both, still 1500 psi.

Does anyone know what the pump will put out max? I am thinking about going to the 2500 PSI relief valve in my 706 also. I can't see where it would hurt the pump? It should run the pump to max and just relieve anything above 2500 psi in my mind. Then again I am not an expert. Anyone out there know what the pump will do max???

I don't know the max, but the 2500 lb valve won't hurt anything. I assume the pump will keep building pressure to whatever the relief valve is. Marshalls has the 2500 lb valve for around 100 dollars. 1-888-824-0544

And WHY do you need more pressure???? , if you are getting 1500 lbs. on a 560 that will do almost everything that ya need to doif the hyd. cyl. is the correct one . Now if you had some mickymouse loader set up that has to small of lift cyl. and your tryen to lift something then you can push up the pressure but keep in mind here that the system can only handel so much . At 1500 lbs. that system will lift a 12 ft. disc. with a 3x8 cyl. or a 540 fourbottom plow on a 2x8 cyl. as for loader operation then there should be three inch dia. cyl. on the lift arms and 2-3 inch. on the bucket .IF ya are using it on a log spliter and it is short on power move up to a 4 inch dia. cyl.

yes i did install a loader and it woul not pick a bale up. i hooked my hoses to a 1086 and picked the bale right up. what is stopping me from building more then 1500 psi.

If you are getting 1500 lbs there is nothing wrong with your pump. The pressure valve will not let it go any higher. It is set for relief at that pressure or less. See my previous post.

I wonder if he isn't worried about opening the rear door on a NH baler?

They tell you that you need 1600lbs pressure. 'Course ya don't, but that's what they seem to say. :>)

Now if ya had a Krone then ya don't need that kind of pressure as the S/MTA's will run them and open the door at 1250 . Myself i prefer that baler lotless part flyen around . After i put the first one in the field around here and a few guys saw it sold a bunch more . All of my close friend now run the Krones.

Old is right. The 666 and 686 only run about 1600 unless you replace the pressure valve then it can go to 2500. I am not sure if you can put the high pressure valve in the 560 or not. They run about a hundred dollars.

Can;t say 100% sure on a 560 but most hyds systems on farmalls that age only put out around 1200-1500 PSI when brand new. I know my book says 1200PSI for that 450 so I would think the 560 should be in that ball park also
