Got this tractor,it slips out of hi side. Look through inspection hole{left side}and the collar just touches the hi side teeth. This collar has a wider shoulder on one side than the other. What is the correct way for this slideing collar to be installed? Right now I feel that it is installed wromg. The shift link has been lenghtened about 1/2 inch. The low side is fine. The shift fork shows some wear. All help appreciated. Thanks

Well with out seeing thismyself here i can not say for sure . But unless ya have the top off ya can not see the HIGH LOW SHIFT Collar. if you have the SIde cover off you are looking at Rev. Also just adjusting linkage does nothing for this as the shifting on any 06-86 tractor is CAM controled . Now what maybe your problem here is maybe a shifter roller may be broken and down in the bottom or the shifter lever that goes into the cam may be woren and the keyway is shot the cove it's self maybe wore out .
