I'm new to implements for tractors, so could some one tell me everything I need for a snow thrower on a Farmall C?

The C does not go slow enough in reverse, or first to do a good job of blowing. There are no cheap solutions to that. Good luck, JimN

Guess I need a snow plow then. Any advice on what I should look for?

Make sure the blade is wide enough (set at 45% angle) to clear enough space for the width of the tractor + 1foot..... ..

Plowing is very nice on a C. Lift from the front bolster, not the rear frame (takes stress off of the torque tube/engine). Push from the rear axles (again that is where the push comes from. Use a Meyers, or other hydro angled blade for superior agility. Put Wheel wts on the rear (500 lbs) and chains. JimN

Thanks. If you have a picture of a C with this plow, it would help me out.

We had a neighbor with one, long dead, tractor 1200 miles away. If yours is a narrow front, I can describe it as two 3" pipes running from 1' in front of the front wheels, to brackets on the rear axle housings. There was a bracket made for the bolster that bolted on and had a 20" stroke cylinder pointing down to attach to the front cross channel which was 3"X3" square tube. The front bracket also had a pare of projecting guides that fit on either side of a 3"X3" square tube comming up straight (to keep everything centered. The Meyer system was adapted to the horizontal 3"X3" square tube. A hydraulic control was used that tapped into the C system with a block where the steel lines attached to the resevoir/rockshaft unit. Two controlls one up/down, one angle left/right. Slick as anything. JimN
