Someone tore down the tansmission for me on a 1945 "H" to replace the shifters and then forgot how to put them back. Can anyone give me step by step how to put the shifters baack in the transmission?

Two ideas:
Put the gears in their neutral location, place the forks on the collars and see if measurements from a common point on the housing will show the positions to be equal to the holes in the rails when the rails are in "N".
Also look at the parts diagram online at CaseIH.com for part # and position/orientation. Good luck, disassembly pictures are a great idea (and a much missed luxury in hindsight). JimN
