It's #4976. I'm pretty sure it's stuck, and it's missing a muffler, the belt pulley(just the wheel), the breather cover, and magneto. At least these parts are available! I got it for $325, so I'm pretty happy.

That looks like a fairly decent H for a 1939 For 325 you made out good It's worth about 1500. today I just bought a 39 M and I love it.Well good luck with that 39 H and have fun with it.

Looks like yours has the newer style PTO. The early models (until about 1942, I believe) had a different set up, with a smaller PTO shaft. You had to have an adapter to make it work on normal size PTO implements.

You done alright, that seat is worth more than 300. 39 is the only year it was used. Looks like it has fair tires on it. Good luck with it.

Does your tractor have the cast iron gear shift knob or a threaded shifter? If so it is a war model. Are you sure yours has the square seat post? The seat could have been put on later. I would assume by it being an early 45 it is a war model, but am not sure.

The first Hs and Ms had square frame that seat mounts on. The next year they went to a round tube style seat mountong post. Maybe some of them still had the old style on them not sure.
