What is everyones fuel prices? Here in CT were between 3 and 3.10 a gallon of reg and 3 for diesel. Was wondering if its cheeper in other states for S*#$ and G!@#%^& Also do you think that this will effect the show and pulling season in the amount of guys that will show up? I was talking to a couple of guys from our club and were thinking pretty low turnouts :(

Thanks

Andrew

Here in South Jersey Gas is anywhere from 2.59 up to 2.79 in our area. The best part is no self service. People that try to clame self service is cheaper only have to go to Delaware or Pennsylvana and see that self service is at least .30 cents higher. As for Diesel it is around 2.85

According to this economist, gas is as cheap or cheaper than it ever was. Granted, the article is nearly 2 years old, but his facts are in order.

"You might even find yourself longing for the good old days of cheap gas. If so, think again. Gas prices today, by any measure that adjusts for inflation and rising real income, are a bargain."

I haven't had a raise in many a year. When are farm prices going to catch up with the rest of the world? In fact, I have taken a big pay cut. Tobacco was 2.00 a lb now it is 1.50. I haven't noticed tobacco products or anything else for that matter going down.

Dave has a point.
When Gas was .40/gal a new deluxe pickup cost maybe $3,500.

If one can afford to spend 35K on a new truck now ....

Yep, .40 gas and $3500 for a new truck. So now $35,000 for a new truck and $3.00 gas. When will my wages from the 40 cent era go up by 10 times?Inquiring minds want to know.

My wages have gone up 10X since we had .40/gal gas.
But you have a point if everything went up evenly wages included it would be no issue at all.
Most peoples wages have not gone up 10X I think.

A few things like electronics have actually gotten much cheaper. But most electronics are not really essiential, but luxury products.

Last I saw the cheap stuff is $2.75, ya right cheap stuff. This is in Missouri at the lake of the ozarks so I can figure in a month or so it will go up even higher just because of the tourists

$2.88 for regular at Sam's Club and other discount stations... I think the Mobil station and Chevron stations are at $3.05 for regular. It was $3.30 across the river in NV last night.

Don't pay attention to diesel prices because I don't have one.

In Iowa Gas is about 2.40 and diesel 3.10, we add a lot of ethenal so we seem to have cheaper prices than IL, or WI.

Well, here on the West coast of Canada we are paying about $1.20 per litre which works out at something like US$4.30 per gallon. In the UK where I often work, they are paying about $2.20 per litre. Of course most of their cars are turbocharged diesels or about 1.9 litres which get about 55 mpg.

I think we have to accept that fuel prices are going to continue to rise. We are just going to have to get smarter somehow.
