I have spark at points, the coil wire to the distributor and the coil wire to dist. cap. No spark at the plugs. Installed new cap, rotor, points, condenser and plugs. Distributor is turning. Tractor had run fine up to this point. Any ideas? Got me baffled. Thanks for any input.

I want to thank all of you for your help. It was the coil. I replaced it and it started up right away. Again thank you. Now I can get it sold and buy the Harley. Take care.

You probably need to bring No1 piston to TDC on the compression stroke and then remove the distributor cap and see where your rotor is pointing. It should be at the No1 plug tower.

Even if the distributor has jumped time you should get fire at the plugs. Did it run before
replacing all the new ignition parts? Hal

You can have all kinds of spark at the points but does the rotor line up with the tower when it fires and does it fire at TDC Your mag or dist must not be in time with piston and or rotor not lined up with tower.

Doug, If the coil wire out the coil top is firing a spark but none to any plugs, the problems got to be plugs, plug wires, distributor cap, or rotor. Make sure the rotor top mates up with the carbon tip in the inner center of the cap,,,,, ,,,,theres no cracks or moisture or carbon traces in the cap,,,,, ,, when the points break open each time the rotor tip must be lined up with one of the internal cap towers,,,,, , Sure its the correct cap n rotor ???

I would try another plug wire to see if it fires.
If there's still no fire. I would install one of the old parts one at a time and see if the engine starts. I would start with the rotor. Hal
