I overhauled a 300 engine to put in my H and the gear on the oil pump was bad. I got one out of an H took it apart, cleaned it up, had the bottom cover surfaced, installed it and it works fine. 75 psi hot at high idle and 45 psi at low idle after pulling a plow for 3 hrs. Dave

Dave, What does it take to get it surfaced? I have not been in one so I am unsure what to do or how involved it is...Thanks, Jason

Take out the cotter key that holds the oil pickup on and the 4 bolts for the cap. The cap will have pressure from the relief valve spring against it. Mine had wear from the gears running against it. I took it to the machine shop and they ran it over a surface grinder they use on cyl heads and never charged anything. Be sure to lube it up good with motor oil before putting it back together. Dave
