I have a 1963 2404/404 Low-Boy. The clutch pedal and both brake pedal springs are missing. (the springs that pull the pedals up). Can anyone tell me the correct length of the springs so I can match them up with springs at NAPA? I purchased this tractor a few months ago. It has the Hi Lo option, 3 point hitch and PTO. everything works on it. It does smoke quite a bit. It had duals on it when I bought it. I am going to overhaul the engine starting next week. Has anyone fabricated the side panels below the hood and covering the sides of the radiator on a 404?

If you are going for originality, I dont know. If you just want something to pull the pedals up, the heres what i would do. hold the pedals up and measure the locations for the end of the spring, then subtract an inch from that so the spring will have the pull to keep the pedals up.

Thanks! I have bought two different springs so far. Neither one has had enough tension to do the job. I will follow your suggestion and try to find a spring big enough to do the job.
