This weekend is the antique farm equipment show in California. There is an auction, and hopefully I will have some luck in finding an H I want and can afford. Even if I don't, Chapter 14 of the IHC will be meeting there, and I will meet those folks. (Maybe they will know of an H for sale) and plus I get to see HUNDREDS of antique tractors! I'm looking forward to it!

I will post pictures next week.

Hi Mike. Aren't you the AT1 that I emailed last year? If so, I'm the CPO at NASWI. I got my M running in time for last years pulls. I did really well with it. I just bought a 45 H for $500. It runs good, excellent compression, but it's ugly. I'm going to restore it so my wife can drive it in parades and stuff. She was kind of mad when I brought it home so I had to tell her it was for her. Oh well, I got the last one. I reckon it's my turn next again. I'm looking at a Super C for $200 that needs a lot of TLC.

Hey chief, I am an army man, so what is a AT1? Oh I have heard that wife story before. It didn't work on mine.

In case you read back to previous pages...

AT1 = Aviation Electronics Technician, First Class Petty Officer (E-6)

Chief Petty Officer is an E-7

Mike, I was aware of the grade and rank, just not the AT1. I was a E-6 (Staff Sgt) when I got out of the army. I didn't get to wear the rocker very long. They promoted me hoping I would reinlist again, but I was ready to go by then. In hindsight I should have stayed and got that check. They made me mad. I wanted to go to drill sgt school and they didn't want me to. I did enjoy it for the most part. The first three years I was in school of one kind or another. My brother done 4 years on the USS Saratoga just shortly before she was decommisioned.

Hey Chief,

Dave? Is that right? Just a little FYI: I bought a '46 H in august, but moved into my new house and spent tons of money on that. Realized that the '46 was going to cost me quite a lot in parts. Found a local guy with a '48 H that was complete, just needed some work for $800. So sold my '46 for $800... but then the local guy backed out. So now I'm searching for another H.

Putting my CPO package together right now. Made #1 EP and SOY, so I'm sitting in a good spot. We'll see how that goes.

Good to hear from you again!

Bob is my name. No worries. That is terrible, he backed out after you sold yours. What's your last name? I'll look for you on the CPO list. As a SOY you should have a darn good chance this year.

im eagerly awaiting one as well!!

I've been to the steam shows when i was younger, but it was more for the demo derby and tractor pulls. I didnt have an appreciation for the old iron back then like I do now.
