For years dad pulled his 756 diesel stock and won many awards. With over 14,000 hours on the original motor he finally decided to overhaul it last year because antifreeze was getting into the oil. The motor still looked brand new though once it was opened up and it only needed a few gaskets replaced, but we still went with the major overhaul anyway since it was all the way opened up. Another of one those old 56 diesels was the 856. Grandpa still has one of those he bought brand new with around 20,000 hours on her now with the bearings only being replaced once. But it's up to you...just my nickels worth.

I dont have one but a 806 I think is classic IH. I'v seen them pull around here and the biggest competion they get are from 4020 deere. Also closer to the 60 area would be a 560 also a sweet pulling tractor. Im just talking from what Iv seen and heard over the years. I only pull antiques, but someday would like to pull more modern tractors. I would post this on the pulling forum too.

Andrew a friend of mine farms and pulls a 806 and he very seldom comes in lower than first place with it. When the locals see him pull in at a pull they all get depressed right away. They are one tough old pile of iron.
