In a previous post I had said that my hydraulics failed and my loader was up in the air. Well it still is. My neigbor noticed that when we move the rod lever it feels like it jumps so I think something has happened inside the pump so the spool valve does not open or close. Where could I find a schematic of the pump so I could get a look at the guts before I open it up? Is is complex to fix?

I woudl appreciate your help.

The PUMP is attached to the front cover of the engine, in front of the distributor. That will have absolutely nothing to do with the problem. If the pump was bad/broken, the loader wouldn't have gone up, but a broken pump would still allow the loader to go down.

What you are looking at is the RESERVOIR, the block under the gas tank, right? That houses the hydraulic valve and the fluid.

The I&T manual for the Super and non-Super H,M,A,C,Cub has a section on the reservoir. It's listed as for the Super M/MTA, but it's the same unit.

Whatever system you have, since your loader is in the air PLEASE BE CAREFUL when working on it. At some point you will have to vent off the fluid and the loader will come down. Wouldnt want you or anyone else to be under it.

yep, even the lightest loaders empty can do a horrific number on the human body. Be sure nothing is under it!!

sounds like the bolt that holds the actuator arm to the pump stroke shaft is loose. Follow the rod to where it connects to an arm and in the center of the arm will be a 3/8s bolt now watch close as you move the rod. if you see it jump here back off to center and tighten bolt. the loader will drop. maybe. Unless you are working with a christmas tree valve.

The prior posts seemed to think your H had live Hyd. The parts diagram on the web site for CaseIH . com will show the parts, just follow the screen instructions to get there. JimN

All 54 Super H's had live hydraulics from the factory.
