Hey guy's. When I got my 450 diesel the TA handle and linkage were missing. I put one from another tractor on it to see if it worked, and it don't do anything. I have adjusted the linkages according to specs, but when I pull the handle back nothing happens. It keeps right on going in direct drive. No noise on nothing. Any ideas. Thanks.

Pull the cover off over the T/A clutch and look in and see what is happening. Could be that someone before ya put a stright shaft in or weled thing together rather then fixen . May be a stuck T/A clutch Don't know i ain't there to look and check things out.

I haven't looked in there yet, but I was thinking maybe the clutch could be stuck. I thought maybe something wasn't right because someone took the handle off and never put it back. It also seemed like the linkage I put on it was a little short. I had to run it out to the very end to get it to fit the lever were it was soppose to be. It came off a 400. Someone said that the handle has a different part number than one for the 450. Is that right.
