The standard compression is a little less than 7 to 1 so there is room to shave the heads and gain some compression.

Adding a 40,000 volt coil (~$40) lets you open the gap from 0.025 to over 0.040 which increases power a little.

Other things not involving the heads include higher compressiion pistons, increasing the rpm's (govener), or increasing sleeve bore.
