Valves from a 300 will not work. The 350 he is working on has a Continental diesel engine in it. There were never any 300 diesels.

These valves for the 350 diesel continental engine are really hard to find. Case/IH does not have them or really any parts for that engine. My Case/IH dealer has provided me many hard to get parts, but no luck with the 350 diesel. MD, 400, and 450 diesel valves are completly different. These intake valves have a very long stem that seems to cause problems. Even the Continental engine parts supplier in Chicago does not have them. Roger

Roger, my IH parts man tells me he can get everything for that engine except valves. I got a new 115 dollar head gasket from IH about three months ago. I spoke with him yesterday and he said he could get a complete overhaul kit ( sleeves, pistons, rings rod bearings, main bearings and gaskets/seals. I don't understand I haven't had any trouble other than paying the price. There are parts out there. I did talk to another IH dealor last year who said he couldn't get anything for it. I think some of these guys just don't want to help.

Todd, You and I are looking for the same thing. So far I have found 4 new exhaust valves and one new intake valve. It seems that the intake valves are hard to come by as I have called a lot of places. I bought the new one and a used one from a guy in Nebraska, but the used one was not as good as the ones I have already. I found a place in California that supplies parts for classic cars and they can make valves it you send them your old one. I think the price range is around $30 to $40 per valve. Sorry I can't help, but if you find a stock some where let us know. Roger
