Did you adjust the fingers on the pressure plate to specification before you installed it?

This where you lay it face down on a flat surface and measure the height of each fimger. The procedure is detailed in the Blue Ribbon Service Manual.

If they are not in spec and even, clutch adjustment will be way off, or maybe impossible.

Why did you find it necessary replace the bearing; in other words, what went wrong in the FIRST place?

I replaced the clutch in a H last year and had the same problem. I finally found the splined center of the new disk was a little longer than the old disk and the splines on the shaft had a small shoulder where the old disk had run. A little polishing On the shaft splines with the Dremil tool and everything was fine. ken
