Can anyone tell me if they make a spin-on conversion kit for a 400 gas? I see on Carter and Gruenwald website that they show everything else but the M series 400 series tractors. Does the 560 kit work? Can anyone direct me in the right direction with a part number or something? Thanks in advance.

The price for the base plate from NAPA is $33.00 and some change and the spin on filter is $5.00 and some change. Hal

Wix Filters makes a conversion kit. The base p/n
is 24762 and the p/n for the filter is 51515.
NAPA auto part stores sell Wix filters, they just drop the first digit. I'm not sure if they have the base or can get it. I sent an email to Wix
to see if NAPA has the bases. If they do I will
post the info. Hal

I like the conversion I did on my 560D. Just be sure to get the old O ring out when changing filters. I am saving the old canister and bolt. Armand

I did a little cross reference of the blocks on case's parts site. The 400 uses a different block, (if you are talking farmall), so neither of the conversions they have listed will fit unfortunately. Well I shouldnt say that, it's possible the actual location for the adapter would bolt on, but the blocks are different and whether those areas are the same and the adapter would fit is unknown to me. I would email them and ask, they might know bettr. Just seems if it would fit, they would have it listed on their site which would help them sell.

If your seal land is pitted and grooved, I can see why you would just wanna do the conversion. But if the surface is in good shape, why bother?
The filters are more then what the original filter element costs are TSC. Financially it's not a good investment. Thats my $0.02

I bought one for an H at my IH dealer. I beleive the one for an M would be the same. A 560 would be different.
