I am wondering if I could adapt a allis chalmers b rear-end (from bell-housing to the back)to a farmall a front end. I want to de-offset one. I dont want to risk tip-over. I would also like a nice conversation piece! LOL.
thanks.

As long as you don't tak any unecessarry risks that A won't tip over. Then again if you want to take on a project then by all means go for it.

They just seem to look tippy.
If it has the cast wheel on the right, and the steel wheel on the left, they are ballanced enough to do work as well as any tractor. Avoid paralleling hills, go down steep hills, and up modest hills.
As noted in the post below, there can be a hybred made to cure the narrwoness, (and have been made) but I would not go to the trouble of adapting such different animals as an AC with a IH. It would be less than either tractor alone. JimN

I dont think that would work. If your scared to tip then get a left axel off a Farmall B and pu that on the A. it would make for a wider base.
