OK another problem with 806 hydraulics. (Some of you will remember my past problems). This winter my hydraulics froze up and I had to tarp the tractor and thaw it with a torpedo heater. That worked great. Thank you Tractor Vet. Everything worked fine the nextcouple of times I used the tractor. I have a loader on it and have lifted large round bales with it since this happened and it had all its lifting power. Then one time I started it and the loader would raise very slowly. I tried to lift bales with it and can't even move them. If I rev the tractor way up I can lift them a little. But if I spear them by angling down from the top and roll it back with the bucket rams they have full power and will lift it right off the ground. My bales are stacked two high and if I spear one that is off the ground and don't touch the lever to raise and lower the loader it will hold it up. But when it is in the air and I hit the lever to try and raise it at all it will drop down. I have noticed that the plug behind the seat that I believe (correct me if i'm wrong) is a sensitivity adjustment has been leaking. It looks like theres an adjustment on it with a flat blade screwdriver. Could this be part of it? HELP!!!

I understanding its just educating guessing on here without testing. To rule out some of this though my loader is plumbed in solid without couplings. If I blew the packings in a ram would the loader still hold a load up or would it always seep down? Playing with it more I don't really think the bucket rams are right either because they seem slow. Would trying a load on the 3 point rule anything out. I don't really think its the pump because it worked as good as ever once then next time it didn't.

Have you changed the hyd. filter recently? Oil level OK? Does 3pt.lift a load? How much oil is leaking out the back of the valve ? is it just a little spit when you move the lever or is it a pretty good stream? ie the detent actuator unscrewed. Can you feel any detent when you move the levers? Can you hear the relief valve squeal when you try to lift a load? Sorry ,lots of questions but the answers will help pin point problem.

You don't have a hose that has popped back out of the coupler do you? That will drive ya nuts sometimes. :>)

One test you could try is switching your hoses at the couplers to isolate if the problem is the cylinders or the tractor. If you can make the loader cylinders work then your problem is with the tractor. If your hoses are long enough and you have access to another tractor you try setting up your loader with a load (lowered) to do the switch if it acts the same then it`s the cylinders .

Well with out running a few test here i am not sure . One you may have blowen a packing in one of the rams . As for the leak on the unlatching valve i do not think that the seepage would be enough to cause this . Now to fix that you will need to remove the valve spool and take it apart and replace the littel unlatchen valve . Now if you are going to do this repair yourself then make sure that ya have the book .As to why you have as you call it full powero on the bucket cyl. here again i think ya have a blown packing on one of the rams and also you always have more break out force on the bucket cyl. then the lift cyl.. Now here is something else to check , is your pioneer couplers as more then once i have see them go bad and will do this . Like i said to be 100% on this i would have to be the one doing the checking .
