It depends on the following variables:

1) Condition of the belly pump. If it's a late H, or has the improved setup, it can develop about 700 psi. If someone has shimmed the relief valve spring, it might even hit 900 to 1000 psi.

2) Diameter of the cylinders. A 3" diameter cylinder has a surface area of about 7 square inches. A 4" diameter ram has a surface area of about 12.5 square inches. Multiply the surface area times the psi from the pump, and you have the theoretical force the cylinder can develop. If you have two cylinders, then you can push with twice that force.

3) The geometry of your loader. If the tops of the cylinders are located closer to the bucket of the loader, it should lift more than if the cylinders are attached farther back on the arms. The angel of the cylinder to the loader arm can also affect this. In theory, if the cylinder is about 90 degrees to the loader arm and mounted close to the center of the distance from the lift point to the rear arm attachment, then the loader could lift about 1/2 of the total force developed by the two cylinders.

If the hydraulic system is in really good shape, and you have loader cylinders in the 2.5" to 3" range, you can lift enough weight to literally ruin your tractor. The rear end will also become very light.

psi from the pump then dia of the cyclinders will be force. Then how is the loader built. You have too much capacity fir lifting and then you upset just remember the H isnt an end-loader just a neat tractor within reason so if you want to move 1600lb bales better get newer and much larger or be like they found neighbor beneath loader upside down in creek. Even wide front on the tractor didnt keep it from rolling over. Sad part he was 75 and farmed all his life and sure as h++++ should have known better.

My dad had a 47 H with the early Farmhand loaders with long cylinders and used the belly pump. That setup could lift about 1200 lbs.

A lot depends on the size of the cylinders. The bigger around your cylinders are the more it will lift. So if you have say a 2 inch cylinder it will lift say around 500LBS but if there 3 inch they will maybe lift 700lbs. Those numbers are not true weight just to give you and idea of how the bigger cylinders will lift more.

Early pumps (without shims) are rated at 400 PSI. Later pumps are rated 700 PSI.
