Last time I checked, I found a couple sets of rod and main bearings, standard size only, for $350 - and that was about 4 years ago.

I went through 4 heads before I found a good one for my W-9, and still had to pay a couple hundred for the head, plus the $$ to have the machine shop grind the valves, etc.

They make a nice tractor when done up nice and can pull a pretty large load, but be prepared to shell out some cash if it needs work!

Although I wouldn't have the space or much use for a W-9, I shure would like to have one tractor that big. 334.5 c.i. sure does make my Cub (60 c.i.) sound teeny! Good Luck.

Parts are hard to come by. I have been working on a WD-9 all winter, just locating parts for the coming summer. I had a buddy do a W-9 a few years back. I know he couldn't get the rings for a gas, but did find them for a diesel. He had to have the grooves widened in the piston to fit the diesel ring, or add a ring? I can't remeber. I don't know how hard he looked though either. THe heads, if cracked, are another challenge. Atleast it is a gas, so parts when found aren't quite as bad as the diesels. I wish you the best of luck. If you do need some parts, give me a hollar, I seem to be collecting a lot of spare parts for my collection.

Thanks for the info - I'm heading out to take the tractor around the field tomorrow morning and see how it goes. It sure would be nice to get a rig with this much power.

It is quite a beast. I"m just concerned that it"l be heck trying to get parts for the thing. Most online supply sites don"t even list the W9 as a model because the don"t seem to have many parts for them.
