Gas Cap Guage???

When I bought my wd-6 tractor it came with one of those Gas Caps with the guage in it. It looks really nice but does not work like it should. When you move the float up and down it jumps for empty to full. Is there anyway to take it apart and fix it,also if I sell it on Ebay what is it worth? The number is:365486R92

I would not buy one because over time gas causes the cork to break apart and plugs the gas outlet to sediment bowl. hang that one on a nail as an antique and buy new vented cap from ih. I had one of those cork floats come apart on my 400 and it was hard to figure it out. Armand
