I had to replace a head gasket on a 140. I also had to take the rocker arm off. When I reinstall today what should I set the gap at?

Andy: I'd check a 140 book, it's been 3 years since I did my 140 and the numbers scotty is quoting don't sound right for a 140. I have both my 140 IT as well as Blue Ribbon service manual out on loan or I could help you. I also seem to recall a difference between some of these offsets.

Mornin Andy, On my Super A I set the clearance at .017 cold. Run the engine up to operating temp and reset at .014. Thats on my 49 Super. I would think that the 140 is similar, Im sure someone will jump in here and confirm that !
