This might be a bit off the subject of this post, but considering the folks who post here are IH guys for the most part, this might be a place for me to start.

I recently came into possession of a working IH refrigerator. Its in good condition.I was wondering if anyone out there had any information on these fridges, information on model year identification, anything at all,and what they are worth to collectors and the like.

I own two Farmalls,a 41 H and 46 M,and I work at an International truck dealer as a mechanic.

Thanks in advance.

yes they are heavy built. the newest one is going on fiftytwo years old, pretty good for a refrigerator. i've got a '47 and a '51 that run.

Some of them had a replacable panel so that you could change the handle color on the later models.

They DO last forever. Most IH stuff did...

They are the darling of certain kitchen design circles in New York; one was used on the set of "Friends."

All I know is that they ended production in '55. They are HEAVY, but last forever. Are you keeping it or selling it?

Our town hall has one of those. Looks good and runs good. Maybe a good thing they are heavy, as things like that sometimes go missing when too many people know where they are.
