I am looking at purchasing a D166 engine for my 340. Currently I have the C135 in the 340. It is not orginal though. The tractor was original with the diesel, however it was switched sometime before we purchased it. How big of a job is going to be to swap this 340 back to the diesel engine? I am sure it will take a little on the wiring side, but I still have the glow plug gauge on it. Also, was there much difference in the TD-340 diesel engine block versus the 340D? Any help would be great.

I THINK THE RADIATOR IS DIFFERENT AS IS THE FRONT BOLSTER THAT BOLTS TO THE FRONT OF THE ENGINE. THE DIESEL ALSO HAD REAR END PARTS FROM THE 460 UTILITY. YOU MAY WANT TO GET A PARTS MANUAL BECAUSE IT MIGHT GET CONFUSING.
