I managed to break the exhaust lift off the manafold the other day, no great loss as it was rust rotted, got the last removed from the threaded area today but I need a tap to clean them before I can screw in a pipe to mount the muffler. Local Dealers smallest tap is for an M. What is size are these threads? Thanks in advance.

Don't know the size, think its about 1 1/4" or so. I'd go see your friendly neighborhood plumber or the local well driller, they usually have pipe taps and one of them probably has the size you'll need. I'll bet for a beer or two, they will even tap it for you! (My $0.02 worth. jal-SD)

Puzzled it out,its 1.5 pipe 11.5 tpi.
Proablem is I am not on good terms with the local plumber since he got cat dung on the well's submersible pump.

If you don't need the tap "yesterday"; watch for a deal on ebay.

I have picked up a number of reasonably-priced large taps that way.

Check at pawn shops; too.
