Hi, This is a McCormick Deering model M fluted feed, double disk. There are probably a few million of them in the Mid West, I have 2. Some like this with low rubber, some with high steel, either mechanical or hyd. lift. Most have a grass seed attachment across the front, a few with it on the back. I would guess they were built from the 1930s into the 60s.

Looks like a John Deere Van Brunt, from the forties, does it have green paint underneath?

There should be an identificaiton label inside one of the lids.

It's a IH no green paint but the guy I bought it from had no idea about year or model and I can find anything left on it.
