SUPER AV FINAL DRIVES

I have a Super AV with a broken final drive casting. I found a complete rear half of a Farmall A for sale at a good price. Will these fit my Super AV? There is a clunking type noise when I let out the clutch also, so I may need to swap the entire transmission and final drives if they are the same. I am aware of some differences in the pto output shafts between these tractors, but I am not sure about the final drives. I am also assuming the parts are the same on the Super A's and AV's. I may be wrong on that also.
Any comments appreciated.

The A final drive housings will bolt right onto a Super A. You won't find you are screwed until you try to put the drawbar on.

Jim, why won't the drawbar fit? Width?

I am pretty sure they use a different mounting setup. the super a has the quick change type and the plain a is a more permament type like the B.

I know the B is different than the super a as far as the drawbar mounts and the axle is shorter. Differential shafts are longer also, but that is obvious.
