Super C ground location?

I need to make up some new battery cables for my Super C and the ground currently runs to one of the bolts that hold the side of the battery box to the back of the 'dash'. It seems that this wouldn't provide a very good ground. Is this the original location and if not where abouts was it? Many thanks, tractorsam

I found it better to run a heavy cable to one of the starter mounting bolts. There is a lot of resistance with the other connections. It might not be original, but with a 6v system they turn & start better.

Ours grounds to one of the bolts which hold the light bar & steering wheel support. The original ground bolt caused us lots of trouble until we moved it. Doesn't look very professional, but hasn't caused any trouble in 25 years.

Operator's manual shows it attaching to a bolt in the right rear of the battery box, which screws into what I think you are calling the "dash". That part is bolted to the top of the transmission housing. Just make sure all connections are clean.

Mine grounds out to one of the studs going into the touch control hydo box. (right in the front of the Bat. Box. )
