I have a no. 25v Farmall 7" sickle bar mower. The lower bearings on the pulley have went bad. I have the shaft out but the pulley and cast iron counter balance appear to need to come off before I can reassemble. How is this pulley held it? It looks like it is pressed on. If it is pressed on how do you get the pulley back on after putting the shaft and bearings back in. Any helpful information would be appreciated. I don"t want to tear up the shaft or pulley and counter balance.

Mike, I renewed the bearings and seals on my C-21 mower a year ago and am pretty sure that the shaft and bearings have to be assembled first before the pulley is pressed on. Leave the end cover off so that you press directly onto the end of the shaft. Sid.

Can't remember for sure, but I think Dad had ours off one time, & I think it was threaded on with a left=hand thread. Someone on here will probably know more about it. A parts blowup would be helpful.
