WHEN EVER I GET IN A BIND OR LETS SAY BACK INTO A TREE WITH A IMPEMENT I CANT GET THE TRACTOR OUT OF GEAR,HOWEVER THE TRACTOR SHIFTS FINE IN ALL GEARS.I USUALLY HAVE TO JACK THE REAR TIRES UP AND GET THE WHEELS TO FREE SPIN THEN I CAN GET IT OUT FROM BEING LOCKED IN GEAR .

As the others have said you probably need to adjust the TA. Heres something to try and if it works then you need to adjust the TA. The next time you do that shift the TA from the high side to the low side and at the same time try to get it out of gear if that works then you better adjust the TA

Steve is correct, A TA/clutch adjustment is needed, Now. The Tractor Vet has great procedure listed here in the archives. The manual is also important, But I believe in TV's process as it accounts for worn link pins and clevices. JimN

Do you have a working TA?

If so, next time try pulling the TA lever back, then shift gears. If it shifts easier, you need to adjust the clutch and TA mechanism.

The clutch and TA mechanism must be adjusted to the letter or you will have problems!
