The post on this board and dealers specs say to use Hytran for lube in the transmission and differential for an International 350. After putting it in it was very hard to shift, I had to bang the gear lever hard to get it out og gear. I switched to 85-140 gear lube and it works fine.

The TA slips with the gear lube and locks up with hytran.

They will shift hard when the TA is not working or adjusted properly. Gear lube is fine, but don't expect the TA to work at all...

The gear should be fine as long as your tractor does not have T/A. I would have thought the gear oil would make it harder to shift and Hy Tran easier though.

It has a non working TA. The thicker lube apparently makes it shift easier.
