I just rebuilt my H carb and now it leaks when the tractor isn't running. Gas drips out the bottom of the carb. I took it apart adn checked the float adn it seems to be adjusted correctly, but it still leaks. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks for your help.

If you don't tighten the packing nut around the bottom carb adjustment, it will leak. I had one H that I tightened the packing nut until I was blue in the face (almost) and it finally quit leaking. The leak looks like its coming out of the drain hole in the bottom of the carb, but its actually the packing nut. ken

I checked the carb again. It appears to be dripping out the air cleaner connection near the choke butterfly. Any more ideas? Thanks again.

I had a rebuilt carb on an H that also leaked. I discovered that the little pin that the float hangs on was too short and would let the float drop down out of position. I made a new pin out of a nail and it worked fine. Slim chance, but it could possibly be happening.
