I can't seem to get any pressure out of my Liftall. Everyone tells me the liftall is pretty much bullet-proof but I'm afraid I've got a bad one. Just bought the tractor (a straight H) a few months back and picked up a loader recently. Hooked up the hoses but got nothing from the pump. Went to drain the pump and the first couple quarts to come out was all water. I let it drain completely, refilled it with sae30, but still no luck. Did the water ruin things for me? Any thoughts, plus any recommendations on where to get a replacement pump would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Chad, have you looked in the belly of your tractor? If not, take the sheet metal plate off just foward of the transmission, and look to see that it has the shaft from the trans to the pump that runs the pump.

If the shaft is there, did you put enough oil back in it?

Are you pulling back all the way on the handle?

If it had frozen and busted there would be all kinds of noise when you start the tractor and let the clutch out.

If it had water in it for a while the check valves & springs are probably rusted stuck. The lift-all pumps are pretty simple to repair. I would take it apart & check it out: might be a simple repair. Just did mine today. ken
