I have a STAGE 2 Super H that I am beginning a restore. Have a couple of questions. The engine runs great with no problems internally that I can tell. I am going to replace all gaskets and such because of seepage. I would assume it"s a good time to go ahead and replace the rear seal since I"m removing the front bolster and frame rails. Any other seals or such while the motor is pulled that"s not obvious? Should I consider pulling the head and changing the head gasket just for the sake of it"s a good time to do it? Can you safely leave the motor bolted to the clutch housing without the frame rails and bolster attached? I read a few times on here recommendations for companies to get aftermarket parts mechanical and sheetmetal. Which seems to be the better quality companies based on your experiences? I appreciate your help. Thanks, David

Thanks for the info. I wasn"t sure if I was being ignored or hadn"t taken my shower like I thought. I really didn"t think about a compression test to decide on how far to go. I also never thought about doing one frame rail at a time, DUH. I have a catalog from OEM and about 40 favorites under Farmall so I guess just shop around. I thought that OEM was a main player. I have an H and M to do someday too. I appreciate the response and have a good evening.
