We are starting our second year as a 4H tractor club. Last year we restored a Ferguson TEA 20. The kids did a great job of it .
This year the club was given a farmall H 1948 by a local farmer that has a few Farmalls he has restored himself.
The tractor is pretty straight and almost all there. It needs the 4th gear fixed and some leaks fixed. It rolls over but doesn't start yet battery conections bad stale gas gummed up carb. The club starts next week so I am warning you now!!! you probaly will be getting quite afew question asked upon the Farmmal experts on this site . Please have patients with the club members because they don't know alot about tractors, but they sure do want to learn. Thay are going to start by getting it running and doing a complete inspection on the tractor. Then they will list all the problems and split up the work into there groups. Last year we had 12 members and we have been told that there are more on the way.I have aleady asked a couple of question here and received help already from some.Once the clubs offically starts we will post pictures and updates on the club. I hope that you will be interested in this project and will offer some good advice along the way. Thanks for your help and future help. Look for Name 4H ron as for questions. Our club is located in Lanark County in Eastern Ontario Canada. We are planning to raffle off the finished tractor at the fall fairs and a couple of plowing matches. Some of the proceeds will be used for further club projects and the rest will be donated to a local hospital.
Ron

Please caution the members to exercise caution when opening up that carb the first time. It has a pot metal venturi that can easily be broken by using too much force.
