You put the fast hitch lift arm shafts in these holes to make the fasthitch solid instead of in the rock shaft that raises it up and down.

Please explain to me how that works. The things are different one sets one way and one the other. On top of that the one on the left side is to small for the lift arm pin to fit in. The right side might work, but it is impossible for the left to work. I just went out and tried before posting this response. I do know for a fact that the mowing machine is designed to work on this. With the pin in bottom of cylinder the hitch is solid and don't need this.

Wish I could get you a photo but can't. Standing behind the tractor the left lift arm has a 1/2 "pin and cotter key that hooks too the rock shaft pivot that attachs to the small hole on the left on the right you take the hole pivot out of the rock shaft and that goes in the big hole.

I see what you are talking about, I did not try but it does look like it will work. However the mower does fit on the right side with the chain I spoke of and it is original, so I sumise that it has more than one purpose.

They are for sway chains on certain mounted implements. I have a 100 mowing machine that uses one of them. I am not sure what the other fits or is for. The mower has a chain about 3 feet long with a pin that fits in one hole to keep it from going down to far and swaying from side to side.
