Today I am planning on putting my new hydraulic screen in my 300u. And looky what I get in an email from ebays favorite searches...

The darn filter I need. I already got the new filter in my hands, and theres still almost 7 days left on this auction. I wonder what it will go for, and if the dealer has a retrun policy?

Hmm... Do I wait or what? 30 days return on the filter.. bahh..

Now, Jay, that is a rather crude title for a topic of discussion. Surely you can do better than that to make this a nicer place to visit. mike

oh well shucks there McCoy. If this dog goned forum software would allow me to edit my posts I could change it =P

Guess I wont be waiting anyways, theres already a bid on it. Dunno, I was in the process of taking the res cover off and somehow I got distracted by running telephone, coax, and eth0 cables out to the garage!! Heh. Like Rusty says, I dont think I'm give ebay any money for now, or paypal, haha.

Sometimes I get a bit flustered. I mean I been looking for a filter for over a month, and the day I pay a dealer for one, one is listed on ebay? What are the odds? Just my luck ya know!

Anyways, It will help when I sell it having the receipts to show what has been done to it, maybe not recoup the cost of the filter of course, but if I buy something and it has new parts on it rather then used, that is good.

I know Rusty. You sure dont like them, do ya? I emailed the guy, and asked if he had a buy it now price. So if he responds with a decent price, then I might give it a shot, if he wants more then $30 shipped, I'll feel much better with the new one. It will be outside of ebay and their grubby little hands, haha!! I know I take a risk, but the guys got awesome feedback on ebay, and I've dealt with him before. I guess it all depends on what he wants todo. It will be another day before i get the res cover gasket made, so I got time to spare, if not the new one is going in.

On a side note, the new one doesnt look much better then my old one did, minus the crushed support cage and holes. The solder job is better then I could do with the stuff I got, but I would think it should look better then this. Now I dont feel so bad when I tried to resolder mine, hahaha, it was a PITA and I gave up on it.

Install the one you have. At least you know it is good. No guarantees with e-bay.
