I am getting close to completing my MDTA restoration, and getting ready her for paint. I notice though that there is some leakage around the injector pump at the throttle shaft. Does anyone have any idea if their is a quick fix, or will it need to be rebuilt?

I am having the same problem with my 350. They are completely different BTW. I bought a Blue Ribbon service manual for mine and am going to try to fix it myself. It shows two O rings on the throttle shaft and appears to be a easy fix. I also have a 450 diesel that is leaking out the over flow after it sits for a while. As soon as I run across one of those Blue ribbon manuals for it I am going to buy it also. The diesel shop wanted 600 dollars to start on my 350 pump see previous posts. I thought this was a bit much for a couple of O rings. I know this is no help to you. I am still trying to get past that 600 dollar figure. Thanks.

I wonder if it is easy to find the o-rings? I am going to look into it a little more, because I believe it is around $750 to rebuild the injector pump.

You must have a cheaper diesel service than the one around here they wanted 600 minimum to work on my 350 pump and said it may be between 1000 to 1200 depending what they had to do to it.I had one rebuilt for my Ford 7610 about 9 or 10 years ago and it cost over 900.
